What To Expect This Year
A crowd favorite from last year's festivities is the sword-swallower, who also goes by Sideshow Cy. You can catch Cy performing his act four times daily on the Globe stage. Another popular act is the Dragonfire demonstration. The actor known simply as Wilsome is back again this year with his unique show of breathing fire. And then there's The Knights of Noble Cause show. This is a live Jousting and combat show performed three times a day with a large group of actors. As the lore goes, the knights compete before King Henry, Queen Anne and the royal court for honor. It is truly a sight to behold!
Here are a few things to remember before going to the Renaissance Festival this year: No outside food or beverage is allowed. However, don't worry about finding food—they have great food a many different price points. Just make sure you bring cash, as most venues inside the event space do not have card readers. Also, if you decide to attend dressed in a costume, keep in mind that swords and daggers are permitted as long as they are properly sheathed and peace-tied. One of the great things about this event are the affordable ticket prices. Tickets at the main gate box office are $28 for adults and $12 for children. You can save a few bucks if you book your visit online. The festival is held in Larkspur. Check their website for more details.
