Hot Rod Rock & Rumble Band Line Up
At the 2024 Hot Rod Rock and Rumble, visitors can expect to see a lot of relevant bands. Two of the most anticipated bands are The Nekromantix and The Delta Bombers. The Nekromantix, a Danish-American psychobilly band, was formed in 1989 in Copenhagen by Kim Nekroman. Known for their monster and horror-themed lyrics, a central icon of the band's image is Nekroman’s “Coffinbass,” a custom-built double bass shaped like a coffin with a cross-shaped headstock. Before founding the Nekromantix, Nekroman served as a submarine radio operator in the Danish Navy for eight years. Transitioning to a music career, he initially played drums in a rockabilly band before setting out to create the horror-themed psychobilly band with himself as the frontman.
The Delta Bombers capture the essence of rockabilly, infusing it with a modern twist that sets them apart. Hailing from the vibrant city of Las Vegas, their journey from local dives to international stages reflects their unwavering dedication to their craft. Their years of hard work and perseverance have paid off, earning them a reputation for delivering electrifying performances fueled by the raw energy of rock and roll. Lead singer Pip Hancox, backed by the formidable talents of Andrew Himmler, Greg Garcia, and PJ Franco, brings a fresh perspective to the timeless sounds of the 1950s. Their ability to seamlessly blend classic rockabilly influences with modern elements from genres like metal and punk is a testament to their versatility and innovative spirit.
